So, deep cuts on nuclear arsenals and nothing else, Can that be what the US president visited russia for ?

I can only immagine he visited russia because he is stuck in the East, And because russia can be hazardous to america’s health, Nuclear Cuts, what for, so now you can wipe the planet 10 times rather than 100 ! lovely.

But what did you expect them to come out with, A Sorry Mr. Obama, no to everything you came to talk about ! that’s not so polite.

So probably, his visit to Egypt was more successful, But Egypt is already on good terms with America as far as i know Russia is where it hurts, a former superpower still making it into space often, and still making submarines…

But to go where people dream of a second USSR (An elete university in Moscow), and tell them Russia is doing everything wrong, I suggest you send Joseph byden next time, maybe he has a better idea… and maybe he will come back with something, anything….

I have never been pro-american, but if America, Iran, Israel, and the rest of the east don’t start playing nice with each other, i am anticipating trouble, I want to see things work out before i pay for someone else’s war hobbies.

You see, i think of obama as a speaker on change, not a man of change that speaks… the economic plans he had turned out to be a J.W.Bush plan replica, Byden says, we miss assessed how bad the crisis is, You must be kidding me…

Don’t get me wrong, i have seen some very nice things that Mr. Obama has done, he has at least prohibbited lobeyists from occupeing government positions, That is nice, but this is not the center of things.

In a world America controls, i think you have more responsibilities than the ones america is fullfilling, Is it not about time America tangibly changes it’s ways, Yes we can, or can we ?

Holy war take 5

Security Minister Yitzchak Aharonovich (Of the keneset and Yisrael Beiteinu) visits the Aqsa Mosqu again, We have seen this before from a very avid Holy-war-guru (Ariel Sharon) some time ago, and it did not end nicely.

All i am concerned about is the Civilian casualties, Last Ariel Sharon visit gave rise to an intifada, in it’s most benign of forms, it collects a few teenage casualties (From 1 side), in it’s escalated form it involves white phosphorus in highly populated areas.

What i don’t understand is, what do the Palestinians and Israelis want ? they always want something, but what do they want eventually ?

It is always no good news when it is a Holy war, But is it just a holy war ? I have my doubts.

My understanding of this grew so complex that it takes an evening to explain where i think we are, variables include confessions from former PLO Leaders on al jazeerah (Revise abu dawood interview), negative attitudes towards a 2-state solution, Iran and it’s statements last “Gaza” war, Hamas ceasing Gaza (From the PLO), and other very irritating variables.

And then, i hear the word elitists from officials talking off the record about people who have sided oppinions on the matter, and it gets on my nerves, what kind of Elitism endorses a side in a holy war, If he can blame one party in a holy war, he is not of the elite, PERIOD.

NOTE: Some of you would argue that the elite would never endorse war holy or not, i would have to say that depends on many definitions and variables so i would pass on such a statement, But in most situations i agree.

Content Consolidation

It seems the way to organise myself is to consolidate all the content i write in one place, At least all content for a certain audience should go in one place, So my first step is going to be as follows

All social, Political views, and other stuff should be consolidated in one place i have not yet decided on.

All technical stuff concerning the web and graphic design etc… should go to a WebTech wiki on EasyWebDNS

My technical hobbies should go to tjlug.org, Stuff about linux and linux applications and embedded systems and electronics should all go to my Technical Blog

i will keep you posted on how i plean to organise my content, Take care for now

You probably heard about our great great aunt…

What sparked my attention is how google rapidly adopted the news (By changing there logo), regardless of this being an irritant to many of there users, when google thinks something is interesting, and is a fact, they have no problem showing it.

To make life more fun, here are a few quotes from the internet

I wonder if such scientific evidence is legal in my country, now that we have a new law governing not taking about religion in a negative way, Seated with a respectable judge, i asked if declaring that i was athiest could put me at risk he said, it depends on the situation, but it is rather likely…

Having studied at school that all the iconic philosophers were wrong about this and this and that, i wonder how they will prove this little baby animal wrong, she looks remarkably human with a tail !

Anyway, let me get back to my kind of fun, writing software and away from humanitarian subjects that can get me into trouble…

External SATA the way i like it (And Don’t)

*My BELKIN SATA II ExpressCard (Silicon Image SIL 3132 SATALink controller)
*My SIIG eSATA II PCIe Pro RAID (Silicon Image SIL 3132 SoftRaid 5 controller)
*My Western Digital Black WD1001FALS
*My Seagate 1TB hard drive
*My OLD Obsolete satellite receiver (It’s BOX)
*My WD esata compatible MyBOOK (Not the hero of the post anyways)

Long ago, i got the ESATA II Express Card that fits all my NEW laptops (Older laptops do not have expresscard), and another SIIG PCI-E ONE (V1.0) for my desktop at the office, i created an enclosure (MyBOOK’s Power block isn’t so powerful and 2 MyBooks are even bulkier than my solution, besides, i HATE the separate power Block (and i really really want 2TBs in that external enclosure).

To begin with, i got a box from an old satellite receiver that is very good (as something other than being an obsolete analogue receiver), took it’s guts out, installed a bay for 2 drives inside and a power supply of a desktop computer (they fit magically), i made 2 esata ports on the rear (Using a sata to esata bracket) and connected them to the BELKIN (F5U239) or SIIG (eSATA II PCIe Pro RAID) external adapters, they work fine (Or do they ??)

To start with, both the PCI-e card and the ExpressCard have the same chip, Made by silicon image, SIL 3132, nevermind the name SoftRaid or SATALINK, the chip is exactly the same.

Silicon Image does issue firmware for all there chips (For you to put on the flash on the board to run the chip), the SIIG takes this firmware fine, the BELKIN does not.

You can not get Firmware from the Belkin Website, and yet, updating the firmware with the one from Silicon Image does not work with the belkin, and what is much much worse, is that the belkin should be bootable but it is NOT !

It overheats and starts to act strange… i simply teared off the paper sticker so it can cool off, then with some thermal epoxy i installed 2 thick sheets of aluminum on it and made them stick out so they can conduct the heat outside the laptop and the problem dissapeared (Strange, knowing that the chip does not get in contact with the PLASTIC of the ExpressCard but i am not complaining !

Anyway, BELKIN card sucks, i regret buying it, i will buy a different one very soon.

Now back to my beloved enclosure

A 500W power supply, 2*1TB hard drives, one of them WD-Black edition mentioned in the previous post, the other 1TB seagate hard drive.

I will post images of how to do this with your obsolete satellite receiver (Remember the days of analogue receivers), and then you can sell your so called sata enabled mybook, The power supply in this makes me feel much more comfortable.

What is left for me to do is add crumble zones (Using polystyrene or some other material) so that i can protect my data, i do weekly backups of both drives, But it would be better to add a level of protection to last weeks work

I will update this as soon as i get my digital camera back

First, allow me to introduce my faith, i am atheist, 100%, a person who believes ZERO in any “God Based” popular faith.

Christian by birth, Greek Orthodox, Middle eastern (Jordan), atheist by “Non belief” is what i believe, but there is no reason why you (Probably a believer) should not check out what i think.

I have seen Christians bashing Pope Benedict XVI for what he wrote in his books, the video i am embedding here is an extremist Christian (I think he is extremist) telling you why the Benedict XVI is heretical.

My turn, i think this is the Bravest, Most Objective, Most intelligent pope to now.

Realizing all the blood religions have shed, Pope Benedict gives his church a NEW, more advanced, More civilized more intelligent set of beleifs, The pope finally says, other christian sects, and even other religions like Islam (The dominant religion where i live), and Judaism CAN go to heaven, He praises islam as a great religion (That sometimes looses balance but that is irrelevant), and does think that the Jewish reading of the Old Testiment is a possible one.

What this is to me is, Finally, some brave person comes along and says (Stop the fight now), i would say, check some of the quotes here out, forget the narrator who really does not agree with me but does point out the quotes i think are GREAT, he portrays the Benedict as a traitor of the church (Which is plain silly in my opinion)

It has been some time since i stopped listening to Ozzy Osbourn, Metallica is something i listen to very occasionally, i have been into stuff like coldplay focr some time, yesterday as i was moving data around to make spae on some hard drive, i came across a folder labeled Rammstein, Wonder what that is doing here, i never was a fan of them (Maybe i never payed enough attention), anyway, i decided to have a look (Since what was inside was video), and i have nothing against industrial metal, i would rather listen to it in a language i understand, but let us see i thought…

after 248 seconds, i have to say, how did i not like this….

The video of the song Sonne is a more realistic version of Snow White where she abuses her power (That comes from her size) and make the Dwarfs work for her so she can get high by sniffing gold dust, Sounds like everyday planet earth to me !

Anyway, that’s not the point, I think it is Genius, They say the inspiration came while they were watching Disney’s snow white, How can you be so smart in changing the story.

Then i took a look at other videos, this thing is real, its a bit gothic, a bit black, and has things if performed by anyone else i would hate, but this stuff is different, it is good !

The lyrics to the song… something like The sun is shining out of my hands, it can burn, it can blind you… Obviously the song was not made for the video, and the video was fitted on the song, but the video is genius, it stands on its own.

They say Rammstein has a new album in 2008, i will buy it.
And surely, will stop judging music the first time i hear it…

Windows Vista crashes with K-Lite and FLV

Hi everyone

I recently noticed that when i download SOME youtube videos or other FLV files from other websites, WINDOWS EXPLORER crash, Hangs, Restarts, Halts, Whatever you want to call it.

When i expand the Windows Message, explorer tells me that (In a different language) FLVSplitter.ax is not playing nice, it keeps telling me things i don’t understand !

Is it an XP thing that don’t work in vista ? if it is, please drop a comment for i have not investigated enough..

UPDATE: You can download the new K-Lite codec pack and your problems should go away, no more reading necessary

For now, you are probably looking for a solution, one way of going about this is to unregister this FLVSplitter from explorer, you will no longer get thumbnails for FLV files but you should be able to find a different tool to read those FLV frames..

So, to unregister, start by holding down Winlogo (On your keyboard)+R, type “cmd” and a blank black screen appears with a prompt, regsvr32 FLVSplitter.ax and you are done

A different way (Recommended), is to update the file , Download this then replace the file in the folder C:\Program Files\K-Lite Codec Pack\Filters, Or if you are using a different software, anywhere you can find the file, maybe C:\Program Files\ffdshow
